Quality matters – it is our continuing commitment and our highest priority. To keep pace with the newest available technology, we have upgraded the Waiwera facility to house a new purpose-built microbiology lab.

Without getting too technical, know that we analyse our water using the highest international methods, which happen to be the same ones used by the US Environmental Protection Agency.
“This lab will allow us to monitor the product at key points in the process,” says James Smith, our in-house microbiologist, “allowing us to target any potential problems as soon as they appear.” We’re pleased to have James on our team, bringing to us his experience with leading international beverage companies.

As a supporter of New Zealand thoroughbred racing, Waiwera is proud to be a race sponsor at the Boxing Day and New Year’s Day races at Ellerslie Racecourse.

On Boxing Day we will host the Waiwera Water Great Northern Guineas race at 4.07pm, and on New Year's Day at 6.25pm the Waiwera Water City of Auckland Cup.

The races are a great way to spend a couple of days over the holiday season and we hope to see you there!

Congratulations to Rachel Clayton from Coast Barbell Club, who cleaned up at the North Island Powerlifting Champs last weekend!

Rachel broke two New Zealand records and was named the winner of her weight division, as well as winning the award for Best Overall Female Lifter!

Waiwera Thermal Resort is proud to introduce Chef Eru.

The Native Chef will prepare modern westernised food with a twist of Maori cuisine. A range of dishes are available, featuring traditional hangi flavours and native herbs, which are used in all recipes - such as the Beef Schnitzel with Horopito Beetroot Relish, Satay Sauce and Kawakawa Aioli.

Waiwera spent three eventful days at the Taste of New Zealand festival last week.

The Waiwera Chefs Table was a success, with hundreds of attendees coming to watch guest chefs such as Annabel Langbein and Josh Emmet use their culinary skills in front of the crowd.

Chef Eru brought some talent to the Waiwera Stand - we had an amazing time and enjoyed meeting everyone who made it along!
